Simon Walker / jeweller
Simon came to goldsmithing and jewellery making by accident, replying to an advert in a local paper when he left school – he was determined not to go to college full time. It was an act that would change his life, as he couldn’t imagine doing anything else now. Five years of apprenticeship followed, which resulted in the accolade of becoming a member of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmith, London.
He spent many years refining his skills working for different jewellers in Hampshire, Sussex and Surrey; and now he works for his own clients and participates in exhibitions and shows, some of which will be in Holland and Chicago later this year.
His desire to make artisan pieces such as his dragons and mythical creatures are one of his driving forces, as long as he can create unusual pieces that will thrill, be loved and cherished.
Simon is able to undertake commissions and can also recycle old gold and gems into new pieces for you to enjoy and pass on!
