Jon Bull Ceramics
All my work is individually hand crafted, thrown on a
wheel and each piece totally unique. I draw upon ideas and sources from ancient world history to create works with a sense of preciousness, grandeur and flamboyance.
Being a student of martial arts has always influenced my work, Japanese armour has become of particular
interest, it is ergonomic and functional but also incredibly aesthetic, all of which are qualities I search for in my own work. I began making ceramic armour purely as a research and learning
exercise, but is now something I continue to do alongside my other work.
