I make one-off pieces including textured glass bowls in

clear or coloured glass. I also make glass jewellery which

is like my glass bowls but in miniature.

Initially, I make a composition with fabric, looking for

‘interesting events in the surface’. I include both the

controlled, such as the grid of the weave and also the

random, for example, crumpled fabric. All of these create

the composition within the bowl.
